James Cunningham

James joined Elysian in 2010 following extensive international operational and acquisition experience. Before joining Elysian, he was involved in 19 acquisitions, including of family-owned companies and non-core businesses, and specialised in post-acquisition management and business development. He previously worked as chief operating officer for EurotaxGlass’s (now Autovista Group), a private equity-backed pan-European automotive information provider, from 1999 to 2002. He worked at UK distribution and outsourcing company Bunzl from 1995 to 1999 and then again from 2002 to 2009, latterly as managing director for the UK and Ireland; a region with sales of more than £1bn. James has also worked as an associate at management consultancy McKinsey & Company and as a brand manager at consumer goods group Unilever. He holds a degree from the University of Cambridge and a MBA from Harvard Business School.
